You’re never too old for anything, but as you mature (eeks!), so do your tastebuds. And I believe our favourite creamy dessert drink is long due for an overhaul. What better than with a dash of liquor (you know, because we’re all grown ups here) and a generous helping of Häagen-Dazs’ Secret Sensations? To mark its launch, Häagen-Dazs has collaborated with Zachary de Git, Diageo’s Singapore Bartender of the Year 2013, to create two sinfully sexy drinks. For Velvet Aurora (above), the Secret Sensations Crème Brûlée flavour is used, along with some apricot and citrus. To replicate the experience of biting into the caramelized sugar crust of a traditional Crème Brulee, Häagen-Dazs has incorporated crunchy caramelized sugar bits into the decadently creamy custard ice cream, which conceals lush caramel sauce at its core.
If chocolate is still your choice of poison, try Mystic Rouge, which includes the new Chocolat Fondant flavour. It takes on the texture of a chocolate cake, sprinkled with generous bits of brownies and finally completed with a warm, fluid chocolate core. These two ice cream cocktails will be available exclusively at Tippling Club till end August 2013.
Now if our milkshakes bring all the boys to the yard, I wonder what these will…
Perhaps a heavenly herd of Bradley Coopers?
Häagen-Dazs Secret Sensations are available in mini cups at $6.50 and pints for $16.50 at all Häagen-Dazs shops and select supermarkets.
